Maybe you should dress in the same clothes everyday.
Apparently, dressing in the same clothes each day could be a factor in your success. As we all know, Steve Jobs always wore the same gear and he was phenomenally successful. There are others like Zuckerberg and President Obama, so should we all be throwing out our pink favourites?
They say that Albert Einstein was also a fan of the simple wardrobe; in his case though, I think he may have just had a lack of colourful options compared to what we have now.
This is all related to the concept of decision fatigue. This is a real psychological condition in which a person’s productivity suffers as a result of becoming mentally exhausted from making so many irrelevant decisions.
Simply put, by stressing over things like what to eat or wear every day, people become less efficient at work.
This is precisely why individuals like President Obama, Steve Jobs, Mark Zuckerberg and Albert Einstein decided to make life easier by adopting a monotonous wardrobe.
For me though, I love my pink shirts and pink ties but I have to admit to having the feeling of decision fatigue….maybe I should buy a heap of pink undies and wear them everyday instead!
