Mindfulness Pondered Mindfulness Defined

Mindfulness is a new age “zen” topic we toss around, but how many really take the time to think about what it means? (You can giggle here, if you like.)

Does it mean you have a mind that is full of all sort of thoughts of many different focuses? Or one with lots of thoughts with related focus?

Or does it mean to have a mind that is empty? So it can make room and be full for the present?

I think for most of us it means to be here, now. But, in what state? With nothing in your mind? Or everything?
